Self-cateringStation House was originally the Station Masters house and Station Cottage last housed the signalman for Strata Florida Railway Station before the railway closed.

Station House sleeps 4 in two bedrooms with views over Cors Caron Nature Reserve and The Cambrian Mountains. Station Cottage also sleeps 4 in two bedrooms with views over Pen Y Bannau hill fort and the Cambrian Mountains.

Situated right on the doorstep of the Cors Caron National Nature Reserve and the Ystwyth cycle trail ideal for bird watchers, cyclists and walkers and is ideally positioned between Cardigan Bay and the Cambrian Mountains.

Station House - On the ground floor there is a lounge/dining area leading through to the kitchen, bathroom and drying area with separate entrance to the house.

On the first floor is a master bedroom with large double bed with stunning views over Cors Caron nature reserve and the Cambrian Mountains. The second bedroom sleeps 2 with a european sized bunk bed to give a little more leg room!

To the side is a small garden and off road parking for one car. Station House is ideal for exploring the Ystwyth Trail and Cors Caron nature reserve along the old railway line.

Station Cottage - Station Cottage is single storey, the porch leads through to the lounge with wood burning fire. There are two bedrooms, one king size bed and a twin bedroom. To the rear is a bathroom with shower over the bath. The kitchen has great views over the back garden and Cambrian Mountains beyond. Now with games room, inc table tennis and table football!

Station Cottage has a front and rear garden mainly laid to lawn with parking for 3 cars.

Pets are also welcome at Station House & Station Cottage (Max 2 dogs)

Both cottages are equipped with a
TV, DVD player and a pay phone, free Wifi, A travel cot, highchair and baby bath are available free on request.

There is plenty to do and see in the area for the whole family, from taking a steam train to Devils Bridge, enjoying the Silver Mountain Experience to going dolphin watching or seeing the animals at Fantasy Farm Park and much much more!

With walks and cycle routes directly from the front door and in the local surrounding area this is also an ideal self-catering base for Mid Wales walking and cycling holidays.

Also ideal for bird watching holidays with hides on Cors Caron national wildlife reserve. Also nearby is Denmark Farm conservation centre and is well-positioned for visiting other nature reserves, Ynys Hir and the Dyfi Osprey project are less than an hour away.

Sited a mile from Pontrhydfendigaid village where there is a shop/cafe and two pubs and the historic site of Strata Florida Abbey. Tregaron is 7 miles away and Aberystwyth 13 miles.

Station House & Station Cottage are available all year for weekly rentals and short breaks outside peak periods.

GREAT FOR PETS:

Both Station House and Station Cottage welcome up to 2 dogs, both have private enclosed gardens and we provide dog bowls and towels.

Located on the edge of Cors Caron Nature reserve there are dog friendly walks straight out the front door. We also have information on other local short and extended walks and dog friendly beaches

GREAT FOR WILDLIFE:

Station House and Station Cottage are both located on the edge of Cors Caron National Nature Reserve, a raised wetland which is internationally important and designed a SSSI, SAC and Ramsar site and a haven for wildlife.

We have bird feeders at both cottages and bird and wildlife spotting guides with information on Cors Caron and nearby wildlife areas.

GETTING BACK TO NATURE

Station House and Station Cottage are located on the edge of Cors Caron National Nature Reserve with uninterrupted views over the Reserve and the Cambrian Mountains.

The Ystwyth Cycle Trail is a few yards from both the cottages and walks right from the doorstep.

Station House is detached and has 2 adult bikes available for guests. Station Cottage has a wood burner.

GREAT FOR GET-TOGETHERS:

Station House and Station Cottage both sleep 4 in 2 bedrooms but can be let together as they are co-located so could sleep up to 8 (plus 2 infants) so ideal for small groups or get togethers. When let together there is room for up to 4 cars. (3 at Station Cottage and 1 at Station House)
