“A lovely house in a great location”

Seagull House has a great town location which makes it perfect for a family with teenagers. It's a lovely, beautifully decorated house with many thoughtful touches. It has steep stairs down to the kitchen and no downstairs loo which we didn't really mind but some might. For us, the only niggles were that the wood-burner in the kitchen was not usable (and we were occasionally a bit cold), the parking wasn't terribly easy (the street is very narrow), and some of the appliances were crammed into awkward spaces (eg you couldn't fully open the dishwasher door). Still, I would warmly recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit Whitby.

Thank you for your review we always welcome feedback, although the house has two bathrooms we were considering installing a toilet at ground level in the back porch and relocating the back door. We apologise for the log burner its a new installation in the kitchen/diner and we have had a few teething problems hence the kitchen was probably a bit colder than normal and we didn't realise the plumber had left a radiator off down there too. Seagull House is normally really warm and are so sorry, we do always ask guests to ring if their is any problem with the house.

We do provide two parking permits for the car park close to the house during the summer months as we usually find guests can park quite easily outside the house other times of the year.

The dishwasher has now been moved so it can be opened fully thank you for pointing this out. Please come again and except a 20% discount on any future booking with us Ursula.
