    “One night”

Wonderful location, and something of an adventure in the reaching of it by 4x4 or by foot only. Has to be the most peaceful place we have ever stayed in that we were the only guests and there was no one else anywhere around given the isolation of the place and no road. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Ideal for walks direct from the door or nearby Martindale. The only issue is that it's key to plan a bit more than we did. The location is totally remote, so that you need to think through meals, both evening and packed lunch the next day, ahead of time. We made it work fine, but could have done better. You didn't want to be headed up and down the road from Pooley Bridge to here more than once a day, ideally, in order to make the best of the time and location you have.
