“Comfortable and Charming stay in Snowdonia”

Old School Guest House is very lovely. Our room (Triple) was huge with an equally ample en-suite, and a very comfortable bed. It does seem a very old house but that is part of its charm.

There are dogs living at the property and they are in the communal areas but not the guest rooms, so the guest rooms remain clean and odourless!

The owner was extremely attentive and went out of his way to assist - sometimes more than necessary. It is all in very close quarters so you will spend time with the host and other guests when using the lounge or dining area.

There was a great deal of choice for breakfast, and it was freshly and very nicely cooked to order. The owner even got up very early one morning to provide us with breakfast when we had an early start.

Although the Guest House is fairly easy to get to by car, and is driveable distance to surrounding sights like Snowdon (about 20-30 mins by car) and beaches, it is not in a town and is quite out of the way. This means it's in a lovely quiet area, but it also means you do need a car (the nearest pub/restaurant is about a 15-minute drive).

I would recommend it for people looking for a cosy, comfortable retreat near Snowdonia national park.
