Sunrise is a charming comfortable cottage parts of which date back to at least the 17th century. It has two bedrooms, an enclosed garden and a superb view over the Nent Valley and up into the dark skies of the North Pennines.

The house is situated in superb walking country in the North Pennine AoNB with Isaac's Tea Trail passing just 100 yards from the cottage. It is within easy distance by car of Hadrian's Wall, the Lake District, mining heritage museums, the South Tyne Steam Railway and many other attractions. Children welcome from any age.

Double bedroom upstairs with king size four poster bed; Downstairs twin bedroom; Lounge; Kitchen/diner; Jack & Jill family bathroom; Downstairs shower and toilet.

Up to £20 electricity and fuel is included with any extra charged at cost and deducted from bond at the end of the stay. There is a folding bed for an extra child at a supplement of £35 per week. Up to 2 medium or 1 large dog accepted (downstairs only and not in the bedroom nor left unattended in the property) at a supplement of £25 per dog per week.

The Cottage offers weekly bookings starting on Friday.

From Alston take the road to Nenthead and continue for 2 ¼ miles past Nent Hall on the right. Immediately after this turn left (signposted Rock House Estate) and follow the road (which bears sharp right up the hill) for about a mile past Greenends, Rock House and a field and we are on the right.
