Directions to The Straw Cottage, Ty Gwyn Farm, Llandrindod Wells, LD1 5NY
From the North via A44 and A483 from Crossgates.
Come into Llandrindod Wells, go past the Metropole Hotel (large green hotel on your left), at the mini roundabout go straight ahead. After less than a quarter of a mile you come to a wide left hand turn opposite the Old Grosvenor Bakery, signposted the Lake and Golf Course. Take that left turn and go out past the lake and up the hill, past golf course club house on your left, round bad bend, past bungalows on your left, keep going for about 1/4 mile and then follow the road as it bends sharply to the right (do not take the road in front which has a no through road sign). Look for the finger post that says Ty Gwyn Farm. Follow the lane and go through a metal gate (normally open), down the hill to a black gate,(normally open) turn in just through the black gate into the yard, there is a white Ty Gwyn painted on the wall. Continue up into the courtyard, where we will meet you and direct you to the Straw Cottage.
Ty Gwyn Farm is the only farm on the right after the golf course. Don't go into Ty Gwyn Bach, which is well before you come to us.

“idyllic”
This is a real escape - a much needed hideaway from the stresses of modern life. It rained a lot of the week but we barely noticed - it just made drying out in front of the woodburner surrounded by candles even more magical. We want to come back in the summer as we imagine it would be a very different experience - we look forward to having a bbq on the veranda! But we'd also love to come back in the winter again as the scenery on the Brecons and Elan Valley was incredible. I cannot thank our fabulous hosts enough, Margot and Anthony - the treasure hunt was a fabulous touch!
