    • Cyfie Farm is in a remote and isolated spot, 1.5 miles from the nearest village (with a tea room and small quaint pub). The farm is at an altitude of 800 feet and the views across the width of Wales are a spectacular feature and can be seem from all our suites of rooms. A car is useful to get around as there is scant public transport although the neighbouring farm runs a taxi and minibus service which can be booked easily. The nearest railhead is at Welshpool some 14 miles away. We provide dinner on 3 nights to guest in our serviced accommodation. There is many typed and difficulties of walks from the farmhouse and in the local area. Good mobile phone reception outside and variable inside buildings with stone walls (good by all windows). There is an almost complete absence of background traffic noise, although we are in a low fly zone and there is sometimes sudden aircraft noise. The sights and smells of the countryside are all around with a plethora of flora and fauna; there are badgers I the garden together with many types of birds which feed daily from feeders. There is some farm activity with cows, sheep and horses in the adjacent fields ; there are also 6 farm cats and a short-haired pointer – Blossom. No pets are allowed in any of our accommodation and bedding has no feather with poly cotton covers and sheets some wool blankets. The lovely gardens, of about an acre, are part of the National Garden Scheme and are terraced with some narrow paths, (both concrete and wood chipped) some steps and slopes. The 2 summerhouses are reached across the gardens and have outdoor and indoor seating areas. Some very steep areas are not fenced off and are not intended for access. All our bedrooms involve some steps. Some with their en suite facilities are at ground level. The hot tub and sauna are about 10-15 metres from the guest accommodation across the tarmac yard, along a narrow but level path to a fenced off but covered area of decking on which the hot tub rests with views across the valley. There ar e 3 steps into the hot tub and some dexterity is require to get in and out of the water. A short step up into the indoor area which houses the sauna and changing area. There is a separate shower room with wash basin and toilet. We have 5 suites and cottages each of which has a separate entrance.
