    “Lovely location, helpful owners but inside dated”

    Great surroundings and plenty of space. Owners couldn't be more helpful. We had a lovely time and even managed sledging on the surrounding hills! Interior is very dated though and could do with a refresh. Also heating is primarily storage and oil heaters and as the rooms are all old stone with very tall ceilings the place gets VERY cold in winter with the bathrooms like freezers. Also, as a result of this, watch out for the electricity costs in winter. We had the storage heaters on and still needed to use the oil heaters at night and 5 days worked out at £48!

    Thank you for your kind review & comments. The storage heating & hot water costs for your stay were as we would expect at £23.00 that is about £4.00 a night. The day time use was higher than we normally experience as 2 electric oil filled radiators & an electric fire were, we were told, in constant use. An average charge for 5 days in February is around £35.00.

    With regard ‘dated’ we do try to update regularly with the fitted kitchen being 2 years old & new suites last year.
