“Lovely accommodation with fantastic hosts.”

I was searching for somewhere to stay overnight whilst on a photography trip, this was one of the cheapest but it exceeded all expectations.

There is parking on site, it’s only a small area so if the B&B is busy there may not be much room, but I was the only one staying so it was perfect.

Caroline & Kev were fantastic. Very welcoming, and very knowledgeable about the area.

I stayed in the Wnion room. This was well stocked with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits tv etc. It overlooks the road but noise wasn’t any problem as it’s a one way street. The window has curtains and a black out blind to ensure you get a good nights sleep.

Double bed was very comfortable.

En-suite with shower was perfect too.

All very clean.

They do not offer an evening meal, so Kev offered some suggestions on local pubs and takeaways etc.

Breakfast was fantastic, I opted for the full English and it’s one of the best I have ever had. Along with tea (or coffee) fruit juice (or water). Continental breakfast is also available.

All in all I cannot fault it, I will be returning hopefully for a longer stay next time.

Notes

Please be aware that Aber Cottage is a historic Grade II listed building that was once three separate cottages. These were converted to one dwelling many years ago and as a consequence the building has a quaint and quirky feel to it. It does, however, mean that it is not really suitable for children under 8 years, and for those with limited mobility. Special diets are catered for as indicated above. For options other than vegetarian please advise us in advance.
