From Welshpool: take the A483 to Newtown. At McDonald's traffic lights, turn right. At the roundabout continue straight on. Follow this road for about 6 miles through Aberhafesp and Llanwnog to the T junction. Turn right onto the A470 and continue on for approximately 4 miles to Carno. * Leave Carno village and from the "switch back" railway bridge drive for a mile. Look out for the sign for Kerimeg Nursery on the right then take the next right opposite Pikins Farm. Follow this gated road for three quarters of a mile to Blaenglanhanog. Watch out for the free range sheep & hens!

From the South: follow the A470 to Caersws, at the level crossing turn left still on the A470 towards Machynlleth. Continue for approximately 6 miles into Carno then follow from * above.

From Machynlleth: Follow the A470 to Llanbrynmair. Continue on to Talerddig, over the narrow bridge and up the hill. Follow the very straight road for approximately 1 mile and turn left opposite Pikins Farm. Follow this gated road for three quarters of a mile to Blaenglanhanog.

SAT NAV SY17 5JU this will take you to the "postcode centre" on the main A470, look for Pikins Farm and turn up the lane opposite (see Glanhanog on the gate).
It's easy to get here by public transport as Caersws Railway Station is just 6 miles away. All trains that run between Shrewsbury and Aberystwyth stop at Caersws where you can catch the X85 bus to the end of our lane. A ten minute walk will get you to Blaenglanhanog or let us know and we will come and collect you.

  • This cottage is two storey and has steps up and down into all rooms downstairs.There is a bathroom and a bedroom downstairs which would make the cottage accessible to those with limited mobility but would be difficult for the wheelchair user. Parking is at the front of the cottage but access requires walking up a short slope covered in stone scalpings. Lighting is good and colour contrast is good. There is no phone but there is WiFi and signal for most mobiles. Docs 6 miles Hospital 30 miles.
