“Quirky and wonderful!”

We loved this place. It is full of character, has a wonderfully atmospheric tiny bar and lounges. There has been some good recent decoration, combined with older furniture which is in keeping. The bedrooms vary apparently, ours again appeared to be recently renovated including the bathroom and was nicely decorated. Breakfast is great and the optional set dinner is homely and hearty and good value including 4 courses and tea/coffee and mints. The hotel is very popular with walkers in this lovely valley and provides a perfect place to share your Apres Walk experiences. The staff are all great and Susan is very helpful, some clients are like old friends. Nothing to dislike, apart from the fact that Susan is selling the place, which is sad. We will be keeping close watch on future reviews to see if it retains its charm.

It was a pleasure to look after you and do come and try the hotel in the future. Susan
