    “Gwych, excellent, surpassed our expectations”

Everything, but everything, was top-notch. From the welcome coffee and biscuits on arrival, the warm and cosy bedroom which oozed with character and history, with a very suave decor, (loved the old gold and cornflower blue combination), comfortable four poster bed, excellent power shower over a double corner bath, not to mention the relaxing lounge(one of us just chilled out there for the whole break!), and then the food, well, words fail us! The Llwyndu Ham (starters) was my overall favourite, but the choice was fantastic! Then to euphanise on the quality of the food, its cooking and presentation, well, we can only recommend you to try for yourselves. The atmosphere is relaxed, this is a place to come and switch off from everyday pressures, move down a gear or two, and enjoy, savour the tranquility and heritage of this special farmhouse in Ardudwy. The history of the house and its inhabitants are celebrated as part of the package, we especially were pleased to see that a famous Welsh poet, Siôn Philyp, was remembered here. Peter and Paula Thompson, although not Welsh, show a respect for the vernacular culture and history that is a shining example to many others in the hospitality trade here in Wales. Maybe the best accolade we can give is that we are hoping to return and make ' Encil ' (luxury retreat) Llwyndu a regular event on our busy schedule.
