Ashby Wells House is easy to find if you are coming off the motorway (M42). Take J12 signposted for Ashby and Snarestone, at the roundabout take the left hand exit and drive towards Ashby-de-la-Zouch. You will pass some rather large properties on your left hand side and about 1.5 miles on will come to Willesley Golf Course (mind your speed here it’s 30mph), take the next turning on the left onto Willesley Road and carry on for 200 yds and then take the turning on the right and turn right again into the cul-de-sac. Ashby Wells House is the 6th house on the road. The Ashby Wells House sign is visible on the property. The nearest railway stations are Tamworth (17 miles) and Burton-upon-Trent (10 miles).

    “Great relaxing week”

    We are returning guests to Ashby Wells House. We come back again and again because we love that we can just jump on our bikes (you can leave your bikes in a lockable shed) and go for a ride in National Forest. We like cycling to Hicks Lodge and around it. There you can have a nice panini or jacket potato, good choice of hot drinks :) On the other hand we use Ashby Wells House as our base to go to SnowDome, Space Centre, Calke Abbey and many other great attractions within 20-40 min drive. There are no shops next door but a short drive away in Ashby-de-la-Zouch. However the property itself is well equipped and has all essentials and some extras like a fire place with real wood - it's our favourite place :) If not keen to gaze into flames, you can watch TV, surf the net or enjoy a cup of tea in a garden (if you are extremely lucky with weather that is). All in all we feel at Ashby Wells at home and we plan on coming back ;)
