    “Some concerns, but nevertheless enjoyable”

The owner has agreed that it needs some indication to show where the access track leaves the Happy Valley Rd; we wasted 1/2 hour or more searching; needed local passer-by to tell us where it was. Rather soured our first impression after a lengthy tiring drive.

Storage heating had been switched off, so first evening was chilly.

Rayburn stove in kitchen was problematic: most mornings, fumes unpleasant; we needed to open windows regularly. It was very bad when one day when there was a strong wind; needs attention. Otherwise, a pleasant cottage to stay in - comfortable beds, plenty of space, etc.

I was unable to connect to the WiFi. Don't think it was my fault, as I had no problem picking up a connection at a B&B en route; the same process just gave failure messages (something to do with a modem?).

Beautiful location but unexpected 0.75 mile approach on rough track not ideal. Also, the nature of the isolated site was unclear from website; we thought it was to be adjacent to other part of the main Gogarth Hall Farm complex, just off the A493 which would have been much easier for trips out each day.

For those with more energy than us, who enjoy hill walking, and being in a lovely natural location, I expect it would be thought wonderful . Just not quite what we had anticipated (We are a 70+ elderly couple) The owner, most fairly, gave us a discount as some compensation for above concerns.
