Details

Cardinal Cottage offers high quality self catering accommodation. It is an ideal base for walkers, birdwatchers or those after a quiet country retreat. It is set in rural Suffolk, yet within easy reach of the Heritage coast with beaches and walks, and the art and music centres in Snape, Aldeburgh and Southwold. There are good village shops within walking distance in Peasenhall and an excellent quiet country pub with first class restaurant nearby. The cottage has been beautifully restored by Jan & Eric Belton with great attention to detail and consideration for their guests needs. It has been awarded a four star rating. It is fully furnished, centrally heated throughout and comprises: a large entrance hall, sitting room with comfy sofa and chairs, TV, DVD, video and stereo and piano. There is a full bookcase, board games for children and adults, videos and DVDs. An electric wood burning type fire provides extra warmth. The kitchen is very well equipped with fridge, microwave, electric cooker, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer. There is full matching china, cutlery and pans. A large picture window catches the afternoon sun and the splendid Suffolk sunsets. The dining room, off the kitchen, has exposed period beams and open fireplace. The bathroom, on the first floor, has bath, separate shower, basin, and toilet. The two main bedrooms have spectacular open beamed ceilings and polished wooden floors. The single bedroom is light and airy with a view over the garden. There are tea making facilities in the double and twin bedrooms. The cottage is fronted by a brook and accessed by a bridge with parking for 4 cars. The small garden is enclosed and private and has garden furniture for leisurely outside dining. Heating and electricity are included in the tariff and towels and linen are provided.
