Station House was originally the Station Masters house for Strata Florida Station and is now a character self catering property sleeping 4.
Situated right on the doorstep of the Cors Caron National Nature Reserve and the Ystwyth cycle trail ideal for bird watchers, cyclists and walkers and is ideally positioned between Cardigan Bay and the Cambrian Mountains.
On the ground floor there is a lounge/dining area with an oil Rayburn providing central heating and extra cooking area leading through to the kitchen, bathroom and drying area with separate entrance to the house.
On the first floor is a master bedroom with large double bed with stunning views over Cors Caron nature reserve and the Cambrian Mountains. The second bedroom sleeps 2 with a european sized bunk bed to give a little more leg room!
To the side is a small garden and off road parking for one car. Please ask about cycle hire, we have available 2 adult bikes and child carrier, free for use by our guests, ideal for exploring the cycle trail and nature reserve along the old railway line.
Pets are also welcome at Station House (Max 2 dogs)
The house has central heating, and is equipped with
TV, DVD and CD players and a pay phone. Wifi internet access is included. A travel cot, highchair and baby bath are available free on request.
There is plenty to do and see in the area for the whole family, from taking a steam train to Devils Bridge, enjoying the Silver Mountain Experience to going dolphin watching or seeing the animals at Fantasy Farm Park and much much more!
With walks and cycle routes directly from the front door and in the local surrounding area this is also an ideal self-catering base for Mid Wales walking and cycling holidays.
Also ideal for bird watching holidays with hides on Cors Caron national wildlife reserve. Also nearby is Denmark Farm conservation centre and is well-positioned for visiting other nature reserves, Ynys Hir and the Dyfi Osprey project are less than an hour away.
Sited a mile from Pontrhydfendigaid village where there is a shop/cafe and two pubs and the historic site of Strata Florida Abbey. Tregaron is 7 miles away and Aberystwyth 13 miles.
Station House is available all year from the 20th December 2013 for weekly rentals and short breaks outside peak periods.
