Details

There are four self-catering holiday apartments at Helm Farm, near Windermere. Helm Farm is close to Bowness-on-Windermere, but is very quiet and right on the edge of pleasant wooded countryside. Some of the buildings within the complex at Helm Farm date back to 1691. The buildings and adjacent farmland are part of a family-run farming estate. Footpaths lead from your door into pleasant grazing land and connect with a wide network of paths. There are 4 units at Helm Farm sleeping 2-5 and three have wood fires. There are cots and high chairs in the three larger units, and a dishwasher in the largest, Helm Lune.

    “great week away from stressful student life! ”

    Great location for both town and walks, we loved having the wood fire to curl up in front of after a day out walking.
    We didn't meet any of the staff but booking was easy and the flat was clean.

    Helm Farm is about 0.5 mile from the centre of Bowness, at the top of Helm Road. No direct public transport. Arrival by car is recommended, but Bowness village is only 10 minutes walk away. Windermere railway station is 5 minutes away by car/taxi.
