The cottage is conveniently situated for Lake Windermere. It is ideal for dog owners with a private garden and a lovely woodland dog walking area.
There is off road parking with leisure club facilities available to you during your stay. Do look at our website to find out more.

    “Excellent”

    Lovely cottage. Very clean and comfortable. Well equiped.
    I've down marked the services and facilities because
    a) the living room was a bit cramped for 5 people (including 2 teenagers who wanted to watch tv). Luckily we had OK weather so were able to use the 'nook' outside to sit and read but if it had been wet and cold it would have been an issue.
    b) although advertised as having wifi, the signal was VERY weak and patchy. The only place you could get a better signal was by sitting in the corridor by the connecting door as the router must be in the owners property. The owner did say the wifi was slow - but that wasn't the issue for us - it was the actual signal. Could they look at getting a booster? Or if not, they shouldn't advertise it as having wifi.

    The woodland was absolutely BRILLIANT! We used that a lot.
    Also, it was fantastic to have somewhere where the dogs were so welcome!

    From M6 jct 36 take the A590, signed Kendal, after 3 miles turn left onto A590, signed Ulverston, Grange, Barrow. After 3 miles turn right onto A5074, signed Bowness on Windermere. Pass Gilpin Inn on left and immediately turn left into the Lyth Valley. After about 5 miles bear left following the priority road, signed Bowness. Continue along this road and after passing the Damson Dene Hotel the property will be seen on the left after about 1-2 miles.
