Welcome to Crag House Farm, an 18th century former Quaker-built Yorkshire Longhouse and barns; a little gem hidden away in the beautiful North York Moors National Park. Crag House Farm has been home to Danny and Liz and their four boys for 25 years. The Grade ll listed Farmhouse and Barns surround a central green and dovecot with fabulous views across Danby Dale and the glorious heather moorland beyond.
Both Beacon View and Dale View barns are winners of the prestigious National Park's Design Award (2012 and 2014). Enjoy your Yorkshire holiday in dramatic countryside based in these stunning and spacious eco barn conversions.
Dale View Barn - a few snippets:
Not many bedrooms have an original sandstone pillar at the foot of the bed - Dale View has one supporting the ancient oak beam and joists. This unusual room also has a south facing glass door leading onto the walled gardens.
Be wowed by the 12-foot high internal glazed opening in the Master bedroom that looks directly onto the light and airy sitting room and it's green oak gallery.
Large ground-floor wet room and a luxury bathroom with a double roll top bath and separate shower on the first floor.
With a large family farmhouse kitchen and separate fully equipped utility room, Dale View's antique elm dining table is all ready to host groups of 12 when both barns are booked together.
Beacon View Barn - something you should know:
Beacon View's ground floor bedroom with en-suite wet room has stunning views through French windows across the dale and to the heather moorland beyond.
Beacon View is accessible for semi-abled guests.
First floor large luxury bathroom with double roll top bath and separate shower.
A large covered fun patio party space with BBQ, Dresser, table and chairs and a large enclosed flat lawn lends itself to child friendly activities or croquet exploits.
Each barn sleeps six in three double bedrooms. Groups of 12 can be accommodated when both barns are booked together. There is ample parking, free Wi-Fi, doves, ponies, sheep and loads of space.

Crag House Farm can be accessed from the Castleton to Hutton le Hole moor road which crosses the North York Moors between the A171 to the north and the A170 to the south. 1 mile out of Castleton take the 1st left turning signed 'gates'. Follow this road down the hill for 400 yards to a gate with the welcoming 'Crag House Farm' sign. Come through the gate continue 50 yards to the farmhouse, green and the barns. Welcome!
