Details

The Thornton Hunt Inn is a traditional Freehouse set in an attractive grade II listed building, which dates back to around the Eighteenth Century. It has been said that King Henry the Eighth stayed on this site while visiting Thornton Abbey.

We have extended our Grade II listed building to encompass six en-suite bedrooms, one single and five double rooms. All our rooms go through a regular redecoration process to maintain Four Star Inn standards. Our accommodation area has its own entrance which is controlled by a numbered combination lock and allows guests to come and go as they please. All our rooms have central heating for the winter months and all bathrooms have heated towel rails. Wi-Fi internet access available in all rooms.

We offer a wide selection of bitter/real ales, lagers, stout, cider, wines, spirits, soft drinks and children's drinks. Our extensive bar menu is mainly homemade encompassing local produce where possible. We have a varied selection of starters, main courses (roast's available Sunday's), steaks, salads, omelettes, baguettes and wonderful homemade desserts.

Our "Rijo Bean to Cup Manchine" produces specialty coffee's, Americano, Cappuccino, Latte, Hot Chocolate, Mocha and Espresso (they are also available for take out). We also offer an excellent children's menu, as children are always most welcome. Why not just bring them for a drink and let them visit the children's fun trail or if the weather is up to it you can always eat outdoors!

Food is served daily, our opening times are: Monday to Friday 12-2pm & 6.30-9pm, Saturday 12-2pm & 6-8.30pm, Sunday 12-2pm & 6-8.30pm.

If you are visiting the area on business or pleasure, working at the oil refinery, the ports at Immingham or Humberside Airport or simply enjoying many of our attractions in North Lincolnshire we can provide en-suite accommodation at competitive prices. All of our rooms have been furnished to a "Four Star - Inn Visit Britain Grading". We also offer Wi-Fi internet access in all our bedrooms.

Children are well catered for with an extensive Fun Trail that challenges them to complete a climbing frame type course without touching the floor. The nearby beer garden has a pleasant view of the village church tower. Local attractions include the ancient Thornton Abbey ruin.
