Details

In the heart of the Ullswater valley these two idyllic cottages over exceptional accommodation. The 16th century farmhouse and Smithy have been restored and renovated to the highest possible standards. We have tried to create a homes rather than just holiday cottages. Together they sleep 15, or 6 and 9 when let separately.

Each cottage has its own stone terrace with garden furniture. WiFi, wall mounted plasma screen TV, DVD player with large library of DVDs, central heating. The 2 properties also have exclusive use of a grassy area with sunken trampoline, playhouse and garden toys.

Off-road parking is available for 2 cars at each cottage. The cottages are adjacent but completely separate to The Quiet Site, a 5 star holiday park. This year we the runner up for Cumbrian Holiday park of the Year. The site boasts the best campsite bar in Britain. We operate as a carbon neutral company . Separate play fields for children. Children welcome from any age.

Leave M6 jct 40, take A66 signposted Keswick for 1 mile. Then take A592 signposted Ullswater for 4 miles. Turn right at lake junction, still on A592 signposted Windermere. After approximately 1 mile turn right, at the Brackenrigg Inn, and follow the road for 1.5 miles. The Quiet Site is situated on the right-hand side. Turn right and book in at the shop.
