Victoria Spa Lodge

Bishopton Lane,

An attractive Grade II listed, Victorian 1837 building, originally built as a spa. Queen Victoria stayed as a guest when she was a princess and it was a spa and graciously gave her name to the hotel. Her coat of arms is built into the gables.

Captain Bruce Bairnsfather (Cartoonist creator of OLD BILL, during the Great War) lived here, also Sir Barry Jackson (founder of the Birmingham Repertory Theatre).

We are 1.4 miles from the centre of Stratford-upon-Avon, situated in a country setting overlooking Stratford Canal.

Our accommodation is 4 star with silver award. There are seven beautifully appointed en-suite bedrooms with TV, radio alarms, hairdryers and tea and coffee making facilities.

The Guesthouse is centrally heated throughout and has a full fire certificate.

Enjoy a full English breakfast or vegetarian (note: we are holders of the Food Hygiene Inspection Silver Award) in a most elegant antique furnished dining room. Open all year, approved by AA, Heart of England Tourist Board, Best B&B, Frommers, and many others.

Stratford is centrally located, an ideal location to visit the Cotswolds, N.E.C, N.A.C, Coventry and Warwick. Close to Birmingham and Coventry airports and only 4 minutes walk from the Stratford park and ride.
