Ashes Cottage is a typical Lake District slate and stone 17th century cottage set in a beautiful rural location. A comfortable, spacious lounge with an open log fire and TV leads out to a pretty patio area (charcoal barbecue provided) with steps down to a large landscaped garden complete with waterfall and pond.
The modern fitted kitchen has granite work tops, an induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer, seating and wall TV. There is a separate dining room seating 6 and 3 bedrooms upstairs with far reaching views over farmland to the Kentmere Valley. Sleeps 6 in 1 Super King, 1 double and 1 twin. The large bathroom has a separate bath and shower. Free WI-FI, washing machine and lockable storage for bikes etc. in the garage. Ashes Cottage is 1 mile outside the pretty village of Staveley with numerous eateries, pubs, the Hawkshead Brewery, a playground, Wheelbase Bike Store and riverside walks.
With Lake Windermere only 10 minutes' drive away, Ashes Cottage is the perfect base from which to explore all the Lake District has to offer with a cosy and comfortable home from home to return to in the evenings.
