Details

Little Pastures, a smallholding set in eight acres, is situated in a beautiful and peaceful location with panoramic views over the North York Moors National Park and endless seascape with a silhouetted view of Scarborough Castle.

The bed and breakfast offers two double en-suite bedrooms (one is a super king bed which can be converted into a twin and is on the ground floor for those with limited mobility).

Each bedroom has its own private lounge with wonderful sea and country views, TV/DVD, radio/CD, tea/coffee making facilities, fridge, hairdryer and electric shaver points, ironing facilities and central heating.
There is use of the garden and ample private parking.

There is a choice of continental or full English breakfast, with vegetarian options. Our free range hens roam our orchard producing the eggs for breakfast and a local butcher supplies us with locally sourced sausage and bacon.

The bed and breakfast is ideally placed close to the A171 for easy access to the attractions of Scarborough, Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, Filey and many other scenic and historic villages within this lovely part of Yorkshire.

Cloughton village is a half mile away with its Inns and Old Railway Station Tea Room. The 20 mile Whitby to Scarborough disused railway track is close by and makes an ideal walking and cycling route. The stunning Cleveland Way also passes close by for long or short distance walkers.

Cyclists and walkers are very welcome.

VISITOR REVIEWS

5/5 - “we had a fabulous time would definitely recommend”
Ron and Joan were very welcoming when we arrived. We had a lovely room with a magnificent view and a separate sitting room very homely and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was lovely and hot, with a variety of cereals and fruit. A very peaceful location. We would recommend this lovely B and B to anyone.

5/5 - “We had a wonderful time at Little Pastures!”
We spent 2 nights at Little Pastures. We enjoyed our stay enormously. Ron and Joan were very welcoming and made sure we felt right at home. The room was fantastic and had outstanding panoramic views! The breakfast was delicious. The location was also perfect as we could hike the Cleveland Way easily. We would definitely visit again.

5/5 - "Great Value"
It was great to have that extra little room with the TV etc. And breakfast showed that you are very well experienced practitioners in this field. We shall also always connect the two owls we saw with our stay in Little Pastures. Best wishes for the future!

5/5 “excellent++++++”
From the moment we arrived we were treated with old fashioned help and courtesy. The food was of top quality as was the service and the accommodation surpassed our expectations, the décor was first class and spotless. Parking on the premises was fine and information about the area from our hosts Ron & Joan welcome and accurate and was followed carefully without disappointment. To conclude we can say that everyone we met in Yorkshire were friendly and welcoming. This b&b is without doubt the finest we have ever stayed at and recommend it 100%.

4/5 “Very good”
Good location and attentive hosts. Room had lovely sea view annex with fridge, plates and utensils and sink. Decor was the only issue as it was too flowery for my taste

5/5 “Excellent in all respects”
Very friendly and welcoming - everything spotlessly clean - excellent breakfasts, and lots of nice little touches like fresh roses in the room and a little tin of biscuits to go with the tea and coffee in the room, topped up each day. Peaceful location with beautiful views and easy access to great walks along the cliffs, and a half-hourly bus to Scarborough from the corner of the lane. Excellent in every respect - would recommend unreservedly to anyone looking for total relaxation. We look forward to our next visit.

5/5 “Very enjoyable, beautiful views, comfortable”
Felt very welcome, clean comfortable room overlooking countryside and Scarborough bays as far as the Flamborough lighthouse. The small sitting room attached also had the lovely views. Mr and Mrs Greenfield do a beautiful breakfast and gave us good advice about where to go for a convenient evening meal, which was also very good. Nice relaxing break, what more could you ask for?
