Details

Kings Haven is a charming 19th Century Grade 2 listed cottage situated within easy walking distance of Pickering town centre and all its amenities. The property has been sympathetically refurbished and now perfectly combines fresh modern facilities whilst retaining its traditional character and charm.

The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven and ceramic hob, microwave and dishwasher. The washer dryer and fridge freezer are housed in original feature cupboards within the kitchen. We also provide staples such as sugar, oil, salt, pepper and dishwasher tablets.
The ground floor bathroom has a bath with shower over and heated towel rail; toiletries and towels are provided.
The beamed lounge has a living flame gas fire for cosy winter nights and a 32 inch flat screen TV with DVD and free view. Located in a traditional cupboard within the lounge is a digital safe for guest use.
One the first floor is a gallery snug with a music centre, flat screen TV with DVD player and ipod docking. A wide selection of DVDS and games are provided along with leaflets and details of local attractions.
The bedroom features a king size bed dressed with 400 thread count linen for that touch of luxury. We also provide bathrobes for guest use.
Outside is a patio garden with furniture and barbecue, there is also private parking and secure store for bikes and boots.

A meet greet service is available on request to aquaint guests with the cottage and local area. We also provide a welcome pack for guests, which includes a home produced treat. We are also happy to provide bespoke welcome packs for special occasions.

Serving as the main gateway to the North Yorkshire Moors, Pickering is a tranquil market town and the perfect location for taking a peaceful rest, at the same time providing lots to explore for the more adventurous, especially for walkers, mountain bikers and lovers of the beautiful countryside. The North Yorkshire Steam Railway starts its journey from Pickering making the town a central hub for hooking into one of the UK's most scenic historic railways. Pickering town centre offers an excellent choice of specialist shops, tearooms and cafes, country pubs, restaurants, banks, a supermarket, antique shops and a wide variety of takeaways. Pickering is now a, 'Walkers are Welcome', town and additionally offers a trout fishing lake and a swimming pool. Pickering's 12th century castle is a fine example of Motte and Bailey construction and Pickering is home to the Beck Isle Museum with it's reconstructed rooms including Victorian parlour and pub. Children welcome from any age.

You will find us on the A170 in Westgate, Pickering approximately 1km west of the roundabout on the Thirsk road. From the roundabout, travel 1 km on the Helmsley road, take the second right onto Teal Lane. Take the fist left 30 metres left along Teal Lane. Drive 25 metres past the stone outbuildings to the parking area on the left.
