Enjoy the beautiful surroundings and relaxed atmosphere of this lovely Victorian farmhouse. Situated on the edge of the quiet unspoilt village of Cropton with fine views over the North York Moors National Park. Ideally placed in central Ryedale for easy access to the moors, coast and York. See the beautiful splendour of Castle Howard or have a wonderfully nostalgic ride on the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway through 'Heartbeat' country. This farmhouse is able to offer very comfortable accommodation, homemade baking and delicious breakfasts.
High Farm stands in its own grounds surrounded by an extensive garden area filled with many varieties of trees, shrubs and roses.
We have three double en suite guest bedrooms each with their own character and view of the grounds. All rooms have tea/coffee making facilities and a colour TV. Central heating throughout.
Unwind by the open fire in the guests' lounge with tea and home-made scones, and you can stroll to the village inn which has its own brewery and caters for both bar and restaurant meals.
There are many marvellous country walks. Take in the stunning scenery from our field containing the site of Cropton's Motte & Bailey Castle and the abundance of wild flowers and grasses in our SSSI site near Sinnington Wood.

Ruth gave us a lovely welcome when we arrived and brought us tea and cakes and scones. We even met her daughter whilst we sat in the comfortable guest room. The period, old world charm of this accommodation was just what we like and it felt like we were part of the family! Great location for exploring the North Yorkshire moors area. Especially close was Eden Camp which gave us a great day out and also the North Yorkshire moors railway. The great breakfast set us up each day and Ruth even cooked ours early the day we went on the railway to make sure we were in plenty of time. Fabulous few days! Super local pub was just a 7 minute walk through the charming village and we sampled there real ales which are brewed on the premises. What could be better? The food at the pub was also good value and plentiful. I would whole-heartedly recommend this first class accommodation to anyone in this area and we are hoping to get back again in the future. Thanks to Ruth and Stephen. Job very well done indeed and very much appreciated.
