A downstairs toilet with hand basin is situated at the end of the hall. The lounge, hall and kitchen have parquet/wood flooring.

The village is within easy reach of Penrith, Pooley Bridge and Ullswater with good road links to all areas of the Lake District. There are many local attractions, one of which is the historic Lowther Castle.

“Perfect for Lakeland! Clean, warm, comfortable. ”

Bluebell Barn has all you need for a walking holiday in Lakeland. OK, it's not quite in Lakeland, but it's close enough, and it's so well-equipped. We got soaked on the fells on Saturday, but the wood-burning stove and central heating was just the ticket. Ditto the washing machine! Bedrooms are very nice, shower room fine, kitchen excellent, lounge very comfortable. There are a couple of steps upstairs that might create problems for older folk, but otherwise no hazards. A trifle expensive for two (which we would normally have been), but for a family of up to 5 it's good value.

We do have an access statement - (the steps have not been a problem). Our prices reflect that we are just outside the National Park.
