Hurst
(flexible room sleeps 2)
£212.00
Book

Hurst is a generously sized double with a most comfortable king sized bed. The room looks out over the grounds at the rear of the house and down across open fields to the Solent and beyond.
Hurst takes its name from the spit on which Henry VIII constructed a castle as part of an extensive scheme of coastal defences. Its guns could command the narrow channel at the western end of the Solent, and the castle today is an Ancient Monument open to the public. The walk along the spit can be envigorating at times, but Hurst ferries run a water taxi to and from the castle in the season, which is a fun trip in itself.
Bath sheets;H2K orgaic toiletries complete the en-suite shower;ensuite accommodation;non-smoking room; Dab digital radio and CD player;hairdryer.
Television is provided in the very comfortable guest sitting room
Prices. Price is per person per night for bed and breakfast for normal occupancy. Normal occupancy is for two persons so please double the price shown to get the room price per night.

The Attic
(double room sleeps 2)
£230.00
Book

The Attic is a light and airy suite comprising two rooms; A bedroom with a king size bed and a sitting room (with en suite leading off). The views from the top of the house are quite exceptional not only taking in the Solent but also looking out to the Needles light and Christchurch Bay.
One of my favourite parts of the house, The Attic offers the additional privacy of the sole use of the second floor (perhaps not so user friendly if stairs are challenging, or you have a mountain of luggage, but well worth the effort when you get there).
Bath sheets; H2K organic toiletries; ensuite facility; Digital DAB radio and CD player; hot drinks facility;hairdryer.
Television is provided in the very comfrtable guest sitting room

Details

Set in mature grounds, with panoramic views across open farmland reaching down to the Solent and the Isle of Wight beyond, this lovely early 1900's rectory offers a chance to unwind in superbly comfortable and tranquil surroundings.

Minutes from the village centre with its shops, pubs and beaches; a mile from the acclaimed Pennington marshes with their wealth of bird life; 4 miles from the reknowned yachting town of Lymington ; within easy reach of rail links to London and the international airports of Southampton and Bournemouth ,yet in an area surrounded by glorious open New Forest. B and B doesn't get much better.

Pertinent comments from a trip advisor guest “Does what it says”

It's rare to stay somewhere these days that is exactly how it is advertised and delivers exactly what the website promises. But Harvest House does.

Room (Hurst) was clean, spacious, very well appointed, quality decor and bedding, boutique, good WiFi, quality beverages, complimentary toiletries, water and wine.

Breakfast was delicious. Fresh. Served in clean surroundings.

Not to mention little extras such as a lounge, dining area and outside patio and gardens exclusively for guests.

Parking was off street, very ample and gates were locked at night (gate key fob on room key if you wanted to leave)

There's no other place I would want to stay in the New Forest if we ever returned to the area.

These people know what customers want and know how to deliver it.

Nice job Amanda and Jon, well done.

We have two individually furnished en suite bedrooms and our Attic Suite completes our guest accommodation all of which enjoy views over our gardens and adjacent fields to the Isle of Wight and beyond. Our terrace, in warm weather, offers guests an ideal place to take breakfast (locally sourced and cooked to order), an aperitif before dinner, or just another place to relax and read a book. In less clement weather taking breakfast in our conservatory (individual tables) with the same stunning views, guests can relax in the guest sitting room, read, watch television, and when the weather turns colder, enjoy the warmth of the fire.
