Llanidloes is a picturesque market town surrounded by beautiful countryside and situated in the absolute centre of Wales. It is the first town on the River Severn, the source of which is just 8 miles away at the foot of the Plynlimon mountain.
The entire property has been renovated in 2010 to the highest standards and we can offer the weary traveller or tourist, rooms at very reasonable rates.
There are six rooms, all of which can be configured to accommodate up to 15 people. All rooms have a TV and DVD player and tea and coffee making facilities. Our rooms are en-suite and have a shower fitted; two of which also contain a bath. The Unicorn Hotel provides free Wi-Fi access throughout.
The Unicorn is a small hotel providing Bed & Breakfast, a daytime bistro which transforms into a 50-seat restaurant by night. Both daytime and evening menus offer a variety of dishes and vegetarians are also catered for and very welcome.
Children welcome from any age.

“Great location. Very nice adjoining family room. ”
Very nice spacious, contemporary, clean family room (adjoining door) in a delightful market town. Wifi works well in room. Shower is excellent. Tasty breakfast. Good location. My family of 4 (sons aged 9 and 11 years) would stay here again and would recommend to friends and family. Some may find the 10pm at the latest check-in restrictive particularly if travelling from several hours away after finishing work; this however does prevent noisy corridors in a small family-run hotel. Although the hotel does not have a private car park, overnight parking is available in front of the hotel and many guests from a number of hotels use a safe, free public car park only 100 m away.
