The Metropole Hotel is located in the beautiful Spa town of Llandrindod Wells in the Heart of Wales. Built by the Great Grandmother of the present Managing Director in 1897, the hotel has been run by the family for 5 generations. Renowned for its' warm and friendly atmosphere, comfortable accommodation and superb cuisine
Over the last 5 years the hotel has had £3 million invested in its facilities.
The hotel has 120 comfortable en-suite bedrooms including Tower Suites and family rooms. Recently refurbished in a contemporary style, the restaurant provides delicious modern British cuisine and has an AA Rosette Award.
In June 2006 a new Brasserie opened alongside the redeveloped Spencers Bar. The indoor leisure complex with its 18 metre indoor pool, whirlpool spa, sauna, steamroom and gym is an ideal environment in which to relax. With lifts servicing all floors and a large free car park The Metropole is an accessible location for all visitors.

“Excellent, especially how an issue was dealt with”
I had a really nice stay at your hotel. There was a sound problem in my single room, a constant humming sound. After two hours of not being to sleep because of it and a migraine starting to cone, I rang reception and they immediately moved me to a triple room! The humming sound wasn't in that room though I'm sure I could hear it in different parts of the hotel. By that time my head was so painful that any sound would have been uncomfortable.
The reception staff were amazing. On the second day I couldn't re connect to the wi-fi though I had been connected it prior. At reception a member of staff went through the usual steps and was unsuccessful too. Consequently he rang their provider and together they sorted it. I've never known customer services like that.
The breakfast staff were wonderful too. Very efficient but without being too efficient (as in in other hotels you end up feeling rushed out if the breakfast room, especially as a person on their own) No such feeling here. Lovely staff, helpful, no grumpy faces! The whole experience was wonderful.
I booked the room at your hotel because of me going to Womderwool. However, added to that I needed a break and sleep which is essential for keeping my sanity! The triple room was amazing.
The shower in the single was really good for my bad back too.
All of that made me give it all 5 stars ( though I did wonder if the droning humming sound was an exciting issue in that side of the hotel)

Located in the centre of Llandrindod Wells The Metropole Hotel is easily accesible by Road. The A483 passes in front of the hotel. Our large car park is situated to the rear of the hotel.
If you are coming from the south the best route is over the second Severn Bridge and up the A449 then A40 to Abergavenny. This is all Motorway or Dual carriageway. It is about 45 miles to Llandrindod from Abergavenny.
From the east take the A44 from the M5
From the north take the M56 off the M6 then the A483

A lift will take you from car park level to the main body of the Hotel. Lift width 1100 mm You may park at the front entrance of the hotel to drop off luggage or passengers A porterage service is available for help with luggage If arriving by train we can order a taxi for guests with advance notice Checking InOnce inside the hotel there is access to reception on ground floor with no steps or ramps The reception desk may be too high for those in a wheel chair, if this is the case an alternative table is provided We do not have a hearing loop at reception The Ground FloorMost of the ground floor is on one level, including the bar, reception, lounges, dining room and most meeting rooms The bar may be too high for those in a wheel chair, if this is the case a waiter service will be offered Lounges and corridors on the ground floor are well lit with good colour contrast Both the ground floor and the David Spencer Suite have toilet facilities for those with specific needs. Bedrooms3 lifts runs to all floors. The lifts do not have audio but it do have raised buttons. Only one lift is suitable for wheelchair users and this does service all floors.
