    “Lovely appointed room”

It was Royal Welsh Show week so prices were high. Access up the stairs was difficult as I had a sore knee. Lane was fantastic at making our stay most enjoyable. Breakfast was fantastic and every detail covered. The bed was so nice and the room furnished in a very beautiful manner. I would suggest that she make each room ensuite so that they are larger and have their own amenities and market her hotel as a boutique B&B. The wee town of Knighton will be up and coming I think., and the nearby town of Leinwardine was lovely and she could market herself in relation to it as well as the walkers of Offa's dyke.Thank you Lane for a most memorable stay.

Dear Carolynn, Very flattered you feel that "boutique B&B"is the way for us to go. (You are the second person to suggest that this week). Due to our location in a conservation area there are limits on what renovations are permitted so the room you stayed in will continue to have linked private facilities and be supplied with robes. Maybe something lost in the exchange rate here as £35 pppn is a competitive rate for rooms of this calibre, locally. So glad you enjoyed your stay, very nice to meet you and your husband and you'd be most welcome again any time.

High Street is off the main road - Broad Street - at start of The Narrows, a pedestrian-only area. Offa Dyke House is a white house a short way up High Street to the right, above Islyn Watkins' antique shop and gallery. Access is via a tiny lane to the right, beside NFU Mutual. Go through a wrought iron gate. On your left is a black door marked ‘Offa Dyke House’. There is an internal staircases with handrail to reception (15 steps) and a similar stairs from there to the guest rooms

PARKING Two to three cars may park at the rear of Offa Dyke House - accessed via a narrow lane off West Street, opposite the library. Or you may use the free visitor car park at the Offa Dyke Centre, just along West Street. Walkers may leave cars here while completing a walk; please speak with the centre direct regarding this.

Space for 2-3 mid-sized cars in a walled garden to the rear, accessed by taking the first left off West Street, a lane leading uphill. Please stop in first with your bags and we will open the gate for you and show you the parking.

At the start of High Street there is controlled parking for c.7 cars, the road then narrows from No 4 and no through traffic is permitted beyond this point.
