Ael-y-Bryn is a small private hotel set in an elevated position is 3 acres of grounds overlooking magnificent views of Cardigan Bay across Criccieth, Porthmadog and the Llyn Peninsula.

We are within minutes from the beach with its sandy dunes and safe bathing. We like to preserve a reputation for traditional cooking and our wide variety of meals are freshly prepared using local produce.

Our restaurant is an elegant dining area and has panoramic views of the coast. Our conservatory is ideal for family dining and a relaxing drink, whilst enjoying the view across the bay. This also offers an area known as the snug for extra comfort.The well stocked bar is frequented by guests and locals alike and is the ideal place to meet friends and discuss the days events.

During your stay you should enjoy the sights of the area, including the never ending sandy beaches: Snowdonia National Park, Harlech Castle, Portmeirion Italian Village; Royal St David's Golf Course and the many delightful villages and beautiful beaches.

    It was a lovely homely atmosphere throught the Hotel.Very friendly staff,would reccomend anyone to stay here,topped off by the beautiful lovation.??

    Gwesty Ael y Bryn Hotel is situated off the Main Road. The A496 runs through Harlech and Barmouth. Coming from Barmouth, you will enter in to the village of Dyffryn Ardudwy. Follow the main road through the village, past the mitsibushi garage and the spar. You will then pass a builders merchant on the left and a village hall a bit further down on the right. Go round a left hand bend followed by a right hand bend and the main entrance to Ael y Bryn is on your right. SAT NAV: LL44 2BE: Hint - Avoid the Toll Bridge near Dolgellau as the SAT NAV often tries to take you this way. From Dolgellau, follow the signs to Barmouth to the A496.
