Details

The Cottage. Pembrey Holiday Cottage is newly built by the owner, a 4 star property, conveniently located between Burry Port town/harbour and Pembrey Country Park, both one mile away. The location is peaceful but not isolated, ideal for families to get out and about and explore the area. Secure parking for four cars with an IN OUT driveway Walled patio area to the front and rear (sun trap) very private. There is a pub type bench and table, parasol, smaller table and chairs., fields and woods to the front and rear with coastal views from the bedroom. Adjoining the next door property is a quaint wooded pathway leading to the golf course and coast as shown in photo. The horses in the field often come around for soame attention. Bike hire either from the Country Park, or Burry Port.

Ashburnham Championship Golf Course can be accessed by a pathway, the golf club a 10 minute walk or a short two minute drive away. I have played golf at Ashburnham from childhood and can highly recommend it as one of the best Wales has to offer. If a change is desirable you can also try the Machynys Pentre Nicholas Golf Course 5 miles away at Llanelli, a new golf course designed by Jack Nicholas, both are links courses mostly flat ground and have wonderful club houses, there is also Glyn Abbey near Trimsaran, a lot more ups and downs.

There are magnificent views from the walks over Pembrey mountain starting from the house in one direction and ending in an arc from the opposite direction, there are also lovely walks through the links on the flat passing individual quaint houses.

Local attractions are Pembrey Sands and Country Park, magnificent sandy beach, walks through the woods, coastal path and cycle track, ski slope, toboggan run, 9 hole golf, horse riding. Close by is Burry Port Harbour and town centre with train and bus links

Centrally located to view the best West and South Wales has to offer to take advantage of the main tourist attractions of outstanding beauty, all within a 15-40 mile circumference.

Tthe Gower Peninsular, Pembrokeshire National Park, Cardigan Coast including New Quay (Dolphins Seals and bird sanctuary at Ramsey Island), the Black Mountains near Llandeilo and Trap the beauty spot of Cerrig Cennen Castle,

Centrally located to the Millennium Coastal Park for walking or cycling 12 miles long mainly on the flat coastal and forest pathways, or go inland through Swiss Valley Reservoir and further on
what use to be a train track, lovely wooded countryside.

Castles include Kidwelly just down the road, Llanstefan opposite fFerryside, Pembroke Castle in Pembroke town (Barafundle Beach close by) and Carew or Manorbier Castle.

Close by Ffors Las racecourse, motor race at Pembrey circuit and also close by to the circuit is Pembrey Airfield where you can have a spot of lunch or pre arrange a flying lesson.

The old market town of Carmarthen is well worth visiting, also Narberth and Llandeilo,

Llanelli is the closest larger town where you can visit the old town market and vibrant out-of-town shops at Parc Trstre and Park Pemberton, a very popular shopping destination.

There are bird hides in Pembrey Country Park, also the Wildfowl and Wetland Trust at Llanelli

The National Botanical Gardens of Wales and Aberglsney House and Gardens about 35 minute drive away.
