Details

The Powis Arms is a traditional 17th century country inn set just a couple of miles over the Welsh border in the beautiful Shropshire countryside. With a large car park at the rear, a games room with pool table and darts board, a function room that can accommodate approximately 30-40 people, a large restaurant and four comfortably furnished letting rooms, we believe we have something here for everyone.

For the summer months you can enjoy a pint of your favourite Monty's ale in our beer garden with a light home cooked meal and during the winter you can choose a delicious meal from our A La Carte menu in front of a roaring open fire.
As well as a range of ales from Monty's Brewery we also have a choice of ciders and lagers. If beer isn't your thing, we also have a variety of wines and spirits, specialising in fine single malts and also some distinctive gins.

There is a wealth of activities surrounding us here at The Powis Arms, from local walks such as the Marches and Offa's Dyke to gliding and mountain biking for the more adventurous. With the beautiful market towns of Shrewsbury, Ludlow, Bishops Castle and Montgomery just a short drive away, this beautiful inn is the perfect base for exploring everything the area has to offer.

We are currently taking bookings for Valentines Day, please call us for more details.
