Very comfortable single storey stone built cottage beside the mill race. One double with king sized 5ft bed and one twin bedroom. Very attractive sitting room with open fire. Open plan fitted kitchen/dining room - washing machine, fridge/freezer, electric oven and microwave. Wi-Fi internet connection. Fenced riverside garden (toddlers beware!), garden furniture and BBQ. Ample parking by the cottages. Short walk along the beck to the village with pub and shop. Wildlife in abundance, even the occasional kingfisher!

Peaceful location at entrance to Wensleydale yet easy access from the A1, also market towns of Bedale, Leyburn, Thirsk, Richmond, Masham and Middleham. Thorp Perrow Arboretum, Constable Burton Gardens and Wensleydale Railway are close by and well worth a visit. Ideal for exploring Yorkshire Dales and North Yorkshire Moors. Ripon and Fountains Abbey 30 minutes, York and Durham within the hour. Local walks direct from the house and quiet lanes for cycling. Local maps and books are available to borrow. Selection of golf courses nearby: Bedale, Wensleydale, Richmond, Catterick & Northallerton. Wide choice of tea rooms, country pubs and award winning restaurants.

Come and enjoy the beauty of North Yorkshire, whatever the season and relax! Generally let weekly, Saturday to Saturday, Easter to end of October then short breaks, minimum three nights generally available November to Easter.

    By Road:
    From A1(M), west on A6055/A684 via Bedale to village of Crakehall. Continue on A684 through Crakehall, passing village green on right and pub on left, downhill over bridge. Take right fork (signed Hackforth) and then immediately right and up drive to Crakehall Water Mill and Watermill House. Total distance from A1(M) about 4 miles.
