This Grade II Listed building sits on an ancient cobbled street overlooking Stockghyll stream. All the shops and restaurants of Ambleside are a short stroll. There are just 3 bedrooms, all doubles, each with a Victorian style iron bedstead. Each room has its own bathroom with a bath, under floor heating and heated towel rail. Victorian landscape prints, original slate floors and quality antique furniture all add to the historic and charming atmosphere. A parking permit for the nearby car park is provided.
Please note, there is a 2 night minimum stay at weekends and 3 nights minimum on bank holidays.

“beautiful b&b would definately stay again ”
A great welcome to a lovely b&b. Sherry and home made cake ( absolutely gorgeous) add to that special touch. A very comfortable bed with a lovely en suite . Breakfast delicious . Would definately stay again .

Leave M6 jct 36. Coming from Windermere, follow the A591 through Ambleside centre. Turn right at the traffic lights at the top of Compston Road, then next left, by Tourist Information Centre, onto North road. The guesthouse is on the left down the alley by the river.
